Seward Alaska
Seward is a fjord in the Gulf of Alaska on the Kenai Peninsula. It is surrounded by mountains and is 120 miles south of Anchorage Alaska. The city is named for William Seward who orchestrated the United States purchase of Alaska from Russia in 1867.
Seward is the starting point of the Iditarod Trail which terminates in Fairbanks Alaska.
